Monthly Recipes Menu

Decided to make a proper groceries shopping list for not fasting, vegeterian fast and vegan fast weeks during each year with recipes combined into a nicely arranged .pdf file anyone can print out or use.

Being Orthodox is more than healthy once you realize that before there were doctors most people, as still today at some places, went to the nearest monastery to ask for an advice or for a medicine so fasting not only as mental health advice is a good detox for body.

Being Orthodox Christian means, besides trying to remove each of the groups of mental disturbing things or one annoyance from your life during that time, going vegeterian and vegan twice during each year.

It means a lot for health of each person and priests a long time ago were not insane to invent fasting periods.

There is Christmas fasting period that lasts a month and a half before Christmas day and Easter time fasting period which lasts for a month and a half before Easter day or let's say Vegetarian periods with one week each of being Vegan as the last week.

Each Wednesday and Friday during each week of the year are on vegeterian menu schedule while milk products used for breakfast only during weekend.

How to start your own?
Take a huge piece of  normal wrapping paper and split it into four parts on both sides meant for normal menu and vegeterian menu.

What's interesting about vegeterian menu is that it allows fish during mayor holidays.

Then start adding recipes into upper right part of the paper, asking each member of your household to do the same into three groups: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

'Break fast' as it's during 'breakfast' most people use animal origin food in their diet such as milk, eggs not only pork or lamb products.

Once the list of recipes is mostly complete rewrite recipes into upper left corner into four week schedule with each day included as on the photo above.
It is discussed whether bread except for breakfast is necessary and what kind of it is best to be used unless you are baking your own.

As you have noticed 'Sweet Tooth Recipes' are separated into individual group as there is no reason to have more than twice a week anything else prepared as your stomach is going to be glad for the lack of sugar in your diet.

The best advice I got when it comes to stomach pain or getting rid of food cravings as of the medicine I take is to use 1-2 tea spoons of baking soda daily until the pain or food cravings go away instead of coffee many people use instead to satisfy sugar cravings.
Baking soda is added into many sweet tooth recipes I saw presumably as of this.

Once the 'Sweet Tooth List' of recipes is complete we can move on 'Groceries List'.
What's interesting about the this list is that it has no schedule as of so many sweet tooth recipes.

When working on your 'Groceries List' separate it into two groups as going shopping each two weeks for the products to be fresh  unless going each week.
Add every ingredient you find in recipes slowly to estimate how much of each ingredient you need.
With groceries catalogues available online you can check for discounts when buying things from your monthly list.

Add separate groceries list for 'Sweet Tooth' recipes as that is where most people go on impulsive shopping.
Are you quick speed shopper or do you make lists as this one?
