Cover letter serve's to get distinguished from the letter pale of different applicants applying for the same job as is it goes on top of your carefully written Resume as an introduction to you as both a person and individual with your own working habits and accomplishments.
There are three things to focus on once writing a cover letter.
Reason
The reason you are applying at the current company vacant place. Be honest as you are not applying out of fun but to start working in environment you recognized as suitable for you, your current expertise and learnings abilities.
About yourself
It should have listed all the activities needed for the vacant job place.
Say a bit a bit each of the activities the company listed as mandatory activities at the vacant job, your knowledge about each.
Write how much of mandatory activities you have experience with and that you are willing to learn possible activities you have no experience with.
Add in short term the gains you got from your previous jobs and and expectations you have about the job you are applying too.
Expectations
It goes both ways about expectations you have about the job, it's requirements you are sure you can fulfill on your own and expectations you have about the company itself.
Cover letters are sent in two cases:
• when the company has a job place opening being vacant or
• when there is a job place the company wants to fill from their own database as why cover letters are sent as 'letters of inquiries' to companies not in need of a worker in specific time.
Cover letter should go through proper grammar control before sent as well as name check if you are sending more than one job applications.
Example.
Dear Sirs,
I am applying for your job vacancy as I am looking for a job that meets the same requirements you have listed as mandatory job activities.
I have experience as office administrator or receptionist at previous job internships I had as much as field duties working as real estate agent.
I expect and am looking forward to a possible job interview where we could talk about all aspects of the job vacancy and how much I am capable to adapt to the working environment.
